Summer of Fun!!

It's been a fun, but busy summer. We have enjoyed all the people who stopped by to visit. The kids had tons of fun with all their cousins, loved the family reunion in Montana, and had a blast at Bible school. Now Kindergarten starts next week. Kyle is very excited!!!! Hope everyone had a good summer.

Some good pics

Another happy Lexi.

This one may seem a bit out of place; however, it's here so those of you who live in extreme heat can feel a cool, refreshing breeze come wafting through your computer.
One of my favorite pictures of Emily, in Mike's hat.
The family on Easter Sunday.
A happy, smiley Lexi.
As usual, Emily is trying to entertain Lexi.
Emily and Tyrell playing "fireman". (update...they were actually playing "cowboy")
The kids all dressed up for Easter. Kyle, after he got his AWANA award.

Don't know

This is possibly the worst blog ever! I suppose it's mostly because I just don't care. Oh well... I have a rare day off, so I thought I would write a few words. I've been keeping fairly busy lately. We were shingling last week, and my body is definitely letting me know about it! We've had a bit of a lull this week 'cause we're waiting on some rafters for a porch redoing project. We will start on a large deck tomorrow. Decks are kind of fun, but of course they are a lot of work. I just checked out Mike's blog. It's really great to hear from him. It's cool that we can at least keep somewhat in touch with someone half a world away I'm getting into the summer busy season, not only at work but at home. I'm sometimes a bit overwhelmed by all the projects I have to do around the house/yard. But I suppose the only pressure I really have is the pressure I put on myself. So ease up, self! One of the things I have to do is finish the kitchen penninsula project I'm in the middle of. I ripped apart the South wall of the kitchen and insulated and re-sheetrocked it. I'm going to add one cabinet extending out from said wall with a spot for a dishwasher beside it(and a countertop over both, of course). However, I still have to mud the wall and texture and paint before the cabinet can go in. I need to stop procrastinating and get it done! Done for now, Kim

Depressed in Wolford

All right, you non-sports fans out there. My Jayhawks lost, if you must know. I was very angry and depressed. Yes, that's how I roll when it comes to sports. However, I was pulled out of the abyss by Georgetown beating North Carolina in OT (I picked Georgetown to win it all). Then, my Fighting Sioux hockey team beat Minnesota in OT to go to the frozen four. Sweeeeet!!!! It made for a bearable Monday morning. I wasn't quite as crabby as I usually am on Mondays. :) I'm still pretty new to this. I hope to get lots more pics of my family on here. Since I'm pretty much of an idiot when it comes to computers, I have yet to figure out how to pick exactly what picture I want on there. Right now I'm just picking blindly. Hence my one picture of Kyle. Anyhoo, we'll catch all you losers later.

Kyle, looking wise as usual

Go Jayhawks!!

I sit here on a warm ND Saturday wondering why I'm doing this. I think blogging, for the most part, is stupid. Oh, well. I'm getting quite nervous about now. Why, you may ask? The Jayhawks have a huge Elite 8 game against UCLA this evening. I always get all wound up when my teams are in big games. O.K., that's enough for now. You may never hear from me again.
